About The Role

We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Cephalopod Purchasing specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing to the EU demand team with supply needed to achieve company targets. This position requires an in-depth knowledge of the product to be purchased and the different origins from which to purchase it. It will also require you to always be aware of market trends in order to be able to buy at the best price and the best quality.

 

Responsibilities:

Purchase

Develops purchase strategy. Effecting more efficient sourcing processes to save costs and maximize profitability. negotiate with suppliers to obtain goods,materials, and services at the best prices by using strategic sourcing strategies and extensive knowledge of their commodity industry.

Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes and new projects and activities

Work closely with others in the procurement function and review opportunities for continuous improvement and business improvements

Preparing proposals, requesting quotes, and negotiating purchase terms and conditions.

Coordinates with fellow managers to monitor inventory and determine supply needs

 

Partner Relationship

Researching and identifying prospective suppliers and opportunities. Negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers to make business savings utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods

Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships

Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues

Communicating product-related issues and concerns to vendors

 

Quality

Monitor and advise on organizational risks and opportunities. Maintain sourcing MIS reports and accurate procurement records. Assess suppliers and ensure contract compliance. Evaluate vendors based on key criteria. Adhere to company policies and regulatory standards. Inspect purchased items for quality and handle invoice verification and payment processes. Participate in admin & facility audit with internal & external auditors.

 

The Ideal Candidate

The deal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Administration, or equivalent, with relevant LLB graduation adding value. Demonstrates extensive experience as a Procurement Manager, Officer, or Head. Proficient in sourcing, procurement techniques, and market analysis. Skilled negotiator with strong networking abilities. Familiarity with supplier management software and adeptness in decision-making and numerical analysis. Exhibits leadership prowess and proficiency in data collection and analysis.

You extensive experience in cephalopod procurement and a global network with major factories. Skilled in building and maintaining productive relationships with diverse stakeholders. Possesses strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrates effective time management, commercial acumen, and a keen attention to detail. Familiarity with ERP systems and proficiency in forecasting and planning round out the skill set.
