As the Operations Manager for our client's esteemed seafood company in Miami, you'll be the linchpin of our client's daily operations, wearing multiple hats to ensure seamless functionality. Your role encompasses overseeing day-to-day operations, orchestrating efficient routing for deliveries, managing orders, supervising warehouse activities, and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of seafood varieties.

About The Role

•    Day-to-Day Operations: Maintain and optimize operational efficiency, ensuring smooth workflows and adherence to company standards.
•    Multi-Faceted Role: Manage diverse responsibilities encompassing routing, order handling, warehouse oversight, and dispatching.
•    Routing and Logistics: Develop and execute effective routing strategies for timely and efficient deliveries, optimizing delivery schedules.
•    Order Management: Handle incoming orders, oversee inventory levels, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure fulfillment and quality control.
•    Warehouse Supervision: Manage warehouse operations, including inventory management, storage optimization, and adherence to safety protocols.
•    Seafood Knowledge: Demonstrate an understanding of seafood varieties, quality standards, and industry best practices.
•    Dispatching: Efficiently dispatch orders, coordinating with drivers and ensuring on-time deliveries while maintaining product integrity.
•    Customer Service: Uphold high standards of customer service, addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
•    Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with different departments, fostering a cohesive and efficient work environment.
•    Growth-Oriented Mindset: Contribute ideas and strategies for the continuous growth and improvement of the company.

ADDED BONUS BUT NOT REQUIRED:
•    Fish Cutting Skills: Possess experience in fish cutting techniques, ensuring precision and quality in preparing seafood products.
•    Quality Control (HACCP Certified): Implement and oversee quality control measures, ensuring compliance with HACCP standards for seafood handling and processing.

 

The Ideal Candidate

•    Proven experience in operations management, preferably within the seafood industry or related fields.
•    Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle diverse responsibilities effectively.
•    Proficiency in logistics, routing, and supply chain management.
•    In-depth knowledge of seafood varieties, quality assessment, and handling procedures.
•    Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
•    Proficiency in relevant software and tools for inventory management and logistics.
•    Adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
•    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
•    A team player mindset with a focus on fostering a collaborative work culture.
