WE ARE PACIFICO AQUACULTURE

Pacifico Aquaculture is the world’s first and only ocean-raised striped bass platform. Founded in 2010 through a partnership with industry leaders, Pacifico has implemented innovations in ocean farming to ensure the health of our striped bass, the health of our oceans, and the long-term availability of striped bass for generations to come. The Company’s ocean-raised striped bass has the potential to not only replace the seasonally constrained wild sources but also to present a unique alternative to more established premium fish offerings. Pacifico's striped bass are sold through well-known distributors, food retailers and restaurants across North America.. 

 

The Role

Working closely with the Vice President of Sales, this role will manage sales and grow client portfolio in U.S. With a business like this, you'll have all the support and backing you need but with the autonomy to bring ideas to the table achieve targets. Working closely with customers, chefs, retailers and regularly reviewing service levels, market share and quality performance will all form part of the day to day of the job.

Ultimately, the insight and experience in fresh seafood specifically the sustainable aquaculture industry will be key to the performance of our client sales organization as they look to rapidly accelerate our growth. A result driven person that can execute a long-term Sales Strategy to deliver sales growth, market share targets is a must. This role demands proactive research for new business opportunities and the ability to close deals with both existing and potential customers. Meeting and exceeding KPI targets will be essential, along with providing insightful sales reports and competitor analysis.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of aquaculture, the product, marketing and sales messaging, environmental standards and competitive landscape
  • Practice sound judgment and discretion with company's best interest always in mind
  • Establish sales objectives through forecasting through a sales process
  • Expand the current, established customer base in US.
  • Negotiate sales contracts and oversee new account installations.
  • Work across internal departments to ensure customer satisfaction; this position works closely with purchasing, inside sales , and accounting.
  • Develop and meet annual sales quotas
  • Implement sales programs and developing field sales action plans
  • Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors

 

The Ideal Candidate

Ideally the candidate will have experience, be a driven and passionate seafood salesperson who is motivated to deliver sales targets of premium seafood products. You will have gained solid commercial skills working in a fast-paced field sales environment. We want someone who is as equally driven by providing a good service as they are in driving sales. You'll be determined, with a proven sales performance track record and the ability to deliver results. Self-motivation is key and a desire to succeed is essential.

 

Key Competencies:

  • 4+ years sales experience with a focus on food service and retail clients managing minimum $5 million dollars plus in yearly sales.
  • A modern mindset that understands how sales, marketing and markets are developing in our fast changing world.
  • Proven history of achieve sales goals and objectives within a complex fish and Seafood business while at the same time managing a client portfolio
  • Strong interpersonal, intercultural and diplomacy skills
  • Excellent sales methodology knowledge and skills allowing negotiate sales while still maintaining strong relationships
  • Ability to travel domestically as needed
  • Key Accounts Management strategy
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical skills
