Financial Analyst aquaculture

 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Financial Analyst will create financial deliverables including models, forecasts, budgets, and ad-hoc analyses for management to aid in strategic decision-making.

 

POSITION-SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Position-specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Metric Identification:  Collaborate with business unit leaders to define and document desired performance and result indicators along with accompanying data sources
  • Solution Design:  Leverage general business acumen and company-specific knowledge to design reporting which meets the needs of business unit leaders
  • Financial Modeling:  Assist in the creation of streamlined, dynamic, financial models with for use in sensitivity analyses, scenario analyses, and what-if analyses, among others
  • Forecasting:  Assist in the evolution and maintenance of the company’s forecasting processes to produce updated near-term and long-term projections
  • Financial Planning:  Facilitate an efficient financial planning process through the maintenance of the master budget and production of supporting analyses/reports.
  • Supply & Demand:  Connect sales and production leaders by creating reports which match projected supply against pipeline demand, identifying and elevating deficits/surpluses for timely corrective action
  • Margin Analysis:  Partner with sales, production, and accounting personnel to calculate product margins and advise on mechanisms for optimization of margins and profit
  • Meaningful Reporting:  Create easily digestible summaries from analyses, utilizing data visualization and presentation techniques to tell a story that goes beyond reporting the numbers
  • Value-Add Analysis:  Leverage holistic view of business obtained through discussions with business unit owners and proximity to data to suggest incremental areas of focus which can drive business value

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Desired qualifications include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience working with food products, agriculture, aquaculture, beverage, FoodTech, or FMCG required
  • 2+ years of experience working in a financial planning and/or analysis capacity, including experience with the following
    • Financial Modeling
    • Forecasting
    • Budgeting
    • Management Reporting
    • Ad-Hoc Analyses
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs; Excel power user
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Power BI
