A fantastic opportunity has arisen with BioMar in UK who are seeking an ambitious Commercial Director to take a lead role to develop and implement the overall commercial strategy for the business to drive revenue and growth through focussed customer relationship management and technical expertise.
In addition to being the key point of contact between BioMar UK and its existing customers, you will engage in global business development activities to build new commercial partnerships and relationships. To contribute at a strategic level to the development and implementation of the overall business strategy as a member of the Management Team.

About the Role
Heading up a strong Commercial Team, the key purpose of this role will be to plan, develop and implement commercial strategies based on company targets, objectives and capabilities with the main goal of supporting and accelerating an ambitious growth agenda. This role is based in Grangemouth, Scotland and as such candidates must anticipate office-based days, with travel to UK customer sites and international travel. Candidates should therefore live within a commutable distance to the office or have a willingness to relocate.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of delivering profitable business growth in the fish farming, fish feeds and in general aquaculture sector. A comprehensive knowledge of key players and networks within the aquaculture sector is also essential for this role.
You will be extremely commercially minded and customer focused, possessing outstanding client management and business development skills. You will also have technical skills and understanding ensuring all aspects of our BioFarm Team support to customers is optimised- including feed quality and farm follow up, flesh quality and biological performance assessment and training of customer’s employees.
You will be a brilliant leader with excellent operational management experience or at least good operations knowledge.
You will ideally, have a track record of success in a commercially orientated MD or GM role and in-depth knowledge and ability of dealing with demanding buyers.
