Job Description

In this new international role, the Marketing Director is responsible for the development and leadership of all aspects of the Salmon Division Marketing team, focusing particularly on product marketing to support customer retention and new customer acquisition.

About the Role

This is a highly strategic and international role that requires strong working partnerships with Local Business Unit MD’s, R&D, Product Management, Group Marketing and Commercial teams in Australia, Chile, Norway and the UK to design and execute strategies that successfully position our existing products and take new products to market.

The ultimate goal is to make sure we have the right products and to guide growth and usage of the range of products within Salmon division’s overall portfolio both now and for the longer term.

This is a highly strategic and global role that requires strong working partnerships with Local Business Unit MD’s, R&D, Product Management, Group Marketing and Commercial teams in Australia,
Chile, Norway and the UK to design and execute strategies that successfully position our existing products and take new products to market. You will lead marketing teams globally responsible for building and activating marketing plans, positioning new products and marketing activities that build demand and maximize satisfaction and growth with customers through a variety of channels in markets across the world. The ultimate goal is to make sure we have the right products and to guide growth and usage of the range of products within Salmon division’s overall portfolio both now and for the longer term

 

The Ideal Candidate

As the ideal candidate for this role, you will have a degree level qualification, preferably in Marketing, Advertising, Economics or Business Administration or any other related field with 5 year + experience of product marketing in majority B2B business, preferably in Aquaculture or similar sector. A depth of experience and proven successful track record in global marketing roles with specific expertise in the areas of pricing and positioning. Must be able to demonstrate success developing, launching and scaling products for in geographically and culturally diverse areas. A proven track record of working collaboratively globally, across multiple teams and projects to take new products and features to market. Excellent verbal and written communication skills- to ensure that information is conveyed in the best way possible, reports and presentations must be both verbally and visually engaging. Strong data-driven mindset and analytical and creative skills that will facilitate the differentiation of the products. Familiarity with global aquaculture landscape (e.g., players, products, regulation) is a must.
