Our client is the world’s first and only producer of true ocean-raised striped bass. Based in Mexico, is the largest marine aquaculture operation in the country and is committed to the improvement and propagation of sustainable best aquaculture practices. Our client has been the recipient of numerous certifications and awards including 4-stars from Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP), Whole Foods Responsibly Farmed, and is in process with Seafood Watch.
About the Role
You will work in collaboration with the hatchery manager, technicians and production scientist for perfecting and implementing optimal procedures in all aspects of hatchery, larval and spat rearing, broodstock, all egg take to small fish and the hatchery You will also work in collaboration with the farm manager for the smooth transfer of seed to sea and its subsequent growth and survival. You will have to be on-site for about a period of 3 months even more.
The Ideal Consultant
You must have a strong knowledge of bivalve culture, broodstock, larvae, egg, especially with sea bass. You will be an expert in aquaculture field, with extensive experience in hatchery, you will be able to provide expertise and direction to the hatchery team from egg to small fish. University degree in Aquaculture, Fisheries, Biological Science or related field and a minimum 5 years experience as hatchery Manager and Consultant experience is required.
